Who we are
Doctor Armenia (doctorarmenia.com) is an online directory of doctors, clinics, medical centres, hospitals and pharmacies in Armenia. Visitors search for free and contact providers directly. We do not provide medical services or medical advice, we do not book appointments and we take no commission.
Information we receive
- From visitors. You can use the site without an account. If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, your email address or phone number and your message. We use them only to reply to you.
- From providers. When you list your practice, we receive the details for your listing (name, specialty, address, hours, languages, phone, photos and similar), the name and contact details of a contact person, and the billing details needed for your subscription.
Listing details are published on the site so that patients can find you. Please do not put anything in your listing that you do not want to be public.
Statistics for providers
We count simple activity on each listing, such as views, phone clicks and WhatsApp clicks, and show these numbers to the provider in their dashboard. These are totals, not profiles of individual visitors.
Payments
Card payments are processed by a bank or payment provider. Doctor Armenia does not store full card numbers.
Billing details for invoices
To issue invoices for subscriptions and advertising, we ask paying providers for billing details: from individual doctors, the full name as in the passport, passport number, social card number (ՀԾՀ) and residential address; from clinics, centres, hospitals and pharmacies, the legal entity name, tax ID (ՀՎՀՀ) and legal address. We collect these details only to issue invoices and keep the accounting records the law requires. They are stored securely and encrypted in line with the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data, they are never published or shown on any page, and only our accounting team can access them.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum: for example, to remember the language you chose and to keep the site working properly.
Location (“Nearest to me”)
If you use “Nearest to me”, your browser asks for permission to use your location. The distance is calculated on your device; your location is not sent to us and is not stored. You can refuse, or turn it off at any time in your browser settings.
Provider accounts, posts and verification documents
Providers sign in with an email address and a password. We keep the account details, the page content, and the photos and posts they add.
For the check we keep copies of the documents providers submit (for example licence number, identity document, diploma, specialty certificate), together with the date of the check and who carried it out. We keep these records so that every badge can be traced back to the documents behind it. They are stored securely and encrypted, access is limited to the people who carry out checks, and they are processed in line with the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data. Verification documents are never published. A provider can ask to see, correct or delete their documents; deleting them removes the badge.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We share it only when it is needed to run the service (for example, with the payment provider or our hosting provider) or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data by writing to info@doctorarmenia.com. In Armenia, the handling of personal data is governed by the Law on Protection of Personal Data.
Emergencies
Doctor Armenia is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112 or 911.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service grows; the latest version is always on this page. Questions: info@doctorarmenia.com.
